Looooong trip just getting to Yellowstone

It's been 4 days since i first stepped foot into US's oldest national park, Yellowstone. 6 days since i left singapore and nice singapore food.

I was sick before I left Singapore. Was down with a sore throat, nothing major though, but that soon developed into a full blown thing minus the fever (i.e. runny nose, etc.). The dry air in the plane and airports did not help too. So, I was permanently stuck sucking a lozenges all the time.

I realised the importance of the internet to me. Especially free internet services. Taipei airport had computer terminals with free internet services and that was really great. But things kinda went downhill from there.

Anyway, i'll explain it using pictures cuz its just much easier that way. (Besides, i'm kinda tired cuz i just finished a 12 hour shift; 11 am to 11 pm or around there).

Life's like that

Last week was quite a hell week of lab for me and Junxiong. Imagine reaching the lab by 7.30am and continuing all the way to 10 to 11 pm. Not that bad rght? Repeat that 8 times almost in a row and add in lessons. Still it's not too bad but when labwork infringes on sleep in terms of wacky dreams that has me repeating a string of numbers (these were values for the concentration variation I had to perform in one of my experiments) ala LOST....you know you are REALLY a lost cause. OH oh...and add culmulative sleep deprivation to the formula and what do you get? DARK EYE CIRCLES (okay...granted they were kinda permanently stuck on my face since PSLE), 2 horrible mouth ulcers. One of which is a major aphthous ulcer that caused my cheek to swell out for about 4 days and gave me a throbbing headache. The other mickey mouse mouth ulcer was more tolerable but still a pain as it was on the lip...no more chili =( sobs...

But as they say. when it rains, it pours...1) All the ulcers were on the left side of the face [check] 2) The headache was on the left side [check] 3) The pimple IN the nose was in the left nostril [check] GROSS rite? Cant breath properly so must breath through the mouth for a while. Luckily this cleared up in about a day. 4)The monthly red tide swept went I was just starting to feel better [check] 5) Accompanying cramps, listlessnes and general irritation at the world [check].

BLAH........

To top it off, yesterday (SUNDAY, 21/1/07) was my 1 YEAR anniversary with Demin but we were both kind of home bound. What's worse was that both of us seem to have forgotten all about it. =(

Saturday morning (20/1/07)

Demin was staying over as usual and we were in the bathroom talking while I was getting ready...washing face or something.

Me(slyly): Hey, when is our anniversary. [I forgot if it was 21st or 22nd but I knew it was close]

Demin (even more slyly): WHEN is our anninversary?

Me: 22 Jan!

Demin: You sure?

Me: YA...(actually I'm not but I cant say that right...afteralll girls are supposed to be good with this kind of things)

Demin: You forgot! (fake sobbing)

Me: Then when is it? 21st?

GROAN I'm pathethic...

Come Sunday...

But I have double standards when it comes to these things....I was going on about how our anniversary was such a non-event...where is the romantic dinner? Candle lights? Cuddly soft toy? THE WORKS?? Bring it on!!~ Where are we going....blahblahblah....Demin was saying, that it was only a 1 year anniversary and we would have the rest of our lives to be together. Conclusion: He didn't plan anything.

Then I think PMS kicked in cuz I was acting out. Was just unhappy. If he bought me something now. I wouldn't be happy either cuz he didn't plan it. I would rather he plan but didn't buy....meaning he'd at least thought about it right? Typically girlish reason which I subscribed to at the moment. As usual, he got irritated at me and was giving me the silent treatment until I cooled down. But he just doesn't get that the silent treatment make me EVEN more angry at him and I definitely WON'T cool down. BISH. But luckily, he gave it to me and much later he admitted that he had forgotten about it too. THERE! I knew it!~

Ohhh but I got back at him later when we were playing games on his computer. He's always either playing Warcraft or Maple story on his lappie and I'm left to my devices...which would always be figuring out how to drag him away from his laptop. Most of the time, I succeed =) But then later he'll give me tis mournful look about wanting to game....then I'll be like, " OKAY lar!..Go..go..." And the cycle repeats =).

But this was supposed to be our anniversary right? So we should do something that involves us both. Demin suggested sleep......BLEUh......Then I had an idea about playing a game together. I like this game he had on his lappie....can't recall the name but it involves building aspects of the city, manufacturing fighters like Magi, Archers....blahblah. Anyway, I had the beginners luck. So much so that he was begging me to faster kill him off so that he could restart the game. At first we were fighting each other but the thing is he can't really hurt me or I'll really hurt him in real life. In his words, "I value my life".

So that is the real reason why he wanted to team up with me instead of against me. =)This time, I still had beginner's luck but we had to stop playing halfway as the next day he had to work. An unconventional way to spend my anniversary but I wouldn't have it any other way. Maybe like what he said, " I'm already spending time with you...Isn't that enough?" is so true.

Its a blustery cold day

cuz of the rain. I have mixed feelings about it. For one thing, Singapore actually feels cold and we all know that that's a hard thing to come by. So thumbs up. Then again, the rain makes me feel lazy and bed bound. That in itself is not the problem. The problem is when you can't afford to stay tucked under the blanket in front of the TV, chips and remote control in hand. Sigh.

What is my dream weather then?

The sky must be a gorgeous rich blue with nice fluffy clouds...The sun must be out but not searing hot. It should be windy (cool not hot!) and the air temperature would probably be 24 degrees. Most importantly, humidity must go!~ With requirements like this, I'm better off migrating elsewhere ....

But seriously, this would be the perfect shopping weather down Orchard Road. However, malls would mean that I'll be wasting this perfect weather on indoor shopping. So, I need bazaars and alfresco dining. But when i think of alfresco dining in Singapore, I think of engine exhuast fumes...Maybe we should ban driving along Orchard Road on perfect weather days. Then we can move the bazaar and alfresco dining to the streets. Haha!!

Fat hope.

So I guess my original plan to migrate is better....less of a hassel. But when you are broke, beggers can't be choosers. I'd be better off sticking to Bugis Junction and its glass roof. Closest thing i'll find. =)

2007...a new year a new blog

Finally, I have done it!~ Revamped my blog, I mean. I just couldn't stand the angsty depressing black background which at that time seemed like a really good idea to convey my contemplative self. Now, it just seems immature and run-of-the-mill. Also, the raining boxes of 'X's were getting on my nerves. In case you didn't know, those were supposed to be pretty snowflakes.

So, anyway, I finished revamping my blog in record time! 2 hrs plus and without help wor!~ Yay...granted the fact I have no idea what html even stands for...(yes...i'm that computer iliterate)...but what's the point of me knowing when I'm satisfied just using it. I'm definitely not gonna be a programmer and even if I needed that skill in the future, I'll learn it off the net or take out the Idiot's guidebook.

So basically, I have not been blogging for about half a year or more (if u don't regard photoblogging as blogging) because I hated the layout of my old blog but did not have the time to fix the problem. Hence the procrastination =).

Anyway, what do you think about this new layout? Cool? The main picture was taken during my Field Trip module to Tioman during June 2006. I was on a boat at that time, going to the Marine park to snorkel with fishes!~ So fun rite! I love that trip alot cuz the module was the most slack I have ever taken and this is supposed to be a level 4000 module (i.e. meant for Honours students)! Even though I had to pay extra cuz this module was only offered during special semester (during June Hols), it was totally worth the moolah. Whatever modules u take during special semester all cost the same price and for the same amount of money i get to go to TIOMAN for a WEEK and bunk in a cool kampong style beach resort. REally Fun =)...would have been better though if my deardear had gone along but he was mistakenly informed by the Dean that this module wouldn't be offered that semester. And so my deardear who was contemplating extending his studies by one more semester was forced to drop the idea and 'persuaded' to graduate. Where got like this one??! Give NUS money to earn also don't want. People want to study more also kena discouraged. Sian. So what to do? When I came back from the trip and gave him all my nice nice photos, he labeled the folder "Tioman trip without me". -_-"" SAAADD rite????

Other updates, my honours project is halfway there...currently, I'm trying to block it out of my mind so that I don't feel guilty blogging when i really should be working on my honours project. =)
Yesterday, I went for the Toddycats Museum guiding workshop at RMBR (Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research). I joined this thing like in year 2 but *cough and looks away...mumbles* have effectively not done much constructive stuff. So anyway, I learnt to guide. Must really try to be more relaxed and less a bookworm...must try to tailor my info to the typical Singaporean audience...which means answering questions like, "Can be eaten or not?", "Nice to eat, or not?" -__-"""""

I don't think I fared too well in my practice run but I think I will get better in time and be more of my corny self. Think being in Prof Ip's lab has stiffen me up cuz I'm constantly worrying about stuff...Nah...that was just a lame excuse...Sigh.

Okkie.....2007 resolution: Do more blogging.

So after a hiatus of let's see...erm...many months, I'm back with a deluge of photos...

Can't really write too much today. In facts, right now i'm in a web chat session to decided on our survery topic for my Professional Communication module. Whoops.

In case you are wondering, I'm currently in my fourth and final year of undergraduate study at NUS. Am neck deep in piles of unread journals and unprocessed tissue samples...=( Sigh sigh sigh....

Yes, I know that i have a year to sort out my thesis but when your at Prof Ip's lab...you need all the time you can get...and somehow I feel like i'm crawling at a painfully slow rate...then again...my sunday horoscope advised me to take things slow for now. =) It goes something like this, "You want to do things with a bang but if you are not careful, things will go bom bom bom!'

Scary....especially when i was planning to have a major fish experimental the next day.

Although it sounds really pathetic that I'm still 'stuck' in the spider lab on a monday night when term time has long end and won't start for some time, I kinda like being in the spider lab at night. Reminds me of the good times. I like this lab alot...the atmosphere is more relaxed and less sterile i guess.

It's hard to believe but I'm really busy...sometimes i come to school around 8.30/9 am and only leave around 10/11pm. That's cuz I'm shuttling between 2 labs trying to get things done. I'm back in Prof Ip's lab for my Honours but also trying to finish some stuff back at the spider lab. Have to really get started on formatting my paper for publishing in an American journal for arachnology =). Hope my paper gets accepted. My work at the spider lab is just to get more data so that i can write a 2nd paper. My other paper on my 1st research project has already been submitted for review to a journal...has yet to be accepted so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
oh...hehe..if you are wondering why i'm able to blog...its cuz i'm using the 10 plus mins it takes to knock out my spider with CO2 to do something more fun.

I could read my stack of journals instead but what the heck...so boring =(
Dun wanna punish myself~

Must thank my deardear for rushing back to Spore on the 19th to help me with my spider catching on the 20th. Cuz we had to catch the 8am low tide, i thought it wouldf be much better if he stayed the night at my place so that we could set off together in the morning. Less hassle and i get to spend more time with him =)

20th may was a sat...really hectic cuz my dad had already been admitted to the hospital...nothing serious. He was going to get a minor eye operation and due to his heart condition, they had to monitor him over a few days before proceeding with the op. Anyway, by the time we finished our little fieldtrip...(DM even got stung twice by a wasp when he climbed up a tree to get spider..Poor thing but hee i appreciate it alot).....it was around 11 plus...then cuz i promised my mum that I'd be going to her dance class in place of papa that same afternoon, there would be no time for rest.

Dance class was....how should i put this gently...I told my mum that i blame her for putting me through this agony...I have lost touch with my body and it rebelled with a vengence...thankfully, not as much as my mum's but i can safely say that we were prob the WORST 2 students in the class. Well, to feel better, it seems that many of those ppl had actually learnt this dance before....disco rock or something. BLUEH!

I CAN'T DANCE FOR CRYING ALOUD!

SHIT. Ask me to bogey around in the pubs...that i can do...cuz there you are supposed to come across drunk = no body coordination.

and what's worse...cuz DM decided to sit out this dance and fiddle around with my hp BUT i know he's behind watching my EVERY mistake. Just as i tot, he finally couldn't stand it and came up front to where i was and started saying how come so easy i cant dance. BLUEHHHh! Oh well. i drag him to learn the dance with me to and at one point he partnered my mom...heehee

3 papers down and 1 more to go...on a Sat some more...9 am!
Crazy. Hee but that just means that my whole sat is not 'burnt' as my dad puts it. Think ORCHARD ROAD must really miss me...will be making a duo appearance with my other half (teehee) right after my paper.

This time, I had Woman's health on Monday, Animal Physiology on Tuesday and Microbiology yesterday (Wednesday). This Sat is on Evolution...have not started proper revision for it yet...think its going to be really difficult. This module has a habit of coming up with the weirdest questions you can think of...like, What will happen to the Evolution of man after 1 million years if there were FOUR SEXES. *COLD SWEAT*...FREAK...nightmare question man.

Oh and talking about evolution and nightmare, I need to get this two issues of my chest. THink I will talk about evolution first. Okie, on and off, I will go check out XX's blog (all Weiqi's fault because she intro me to it). Normally, I'd just read it cuz I'm bored and sometimes she's entertaining but hai, one of her latest post has me tsking away and now fully understanding Prof Mier's mostly sour disposition (my evolution lecturer...he is as another Prof puts it, the grumpy old german...Whoops...dun repeat this kkkkk....U DID NOT HEAR THIS FROM ME). Anyway, the post was peppered with natural selection and survival of the fitness and now, I fully comprehend the level of annoyance that evolutionary biologist face with how the majority of the masses would twist and turn this BIOLOGICAL phrase to justify SOCIAL phenomenon.

Well, just to enlight my friends who are not well versed in evolutionary language, survival of the fittest is not measured in terms of strength and blahblah physical attributes. You know how to survive long enough to F*** and pass on your genes, or by pure luck, you get laid and pass on your genes not by virtue of your so-called animal magnetism...you are deemed to have some LEVEL of fitness. Fitness can be measured on a scale of 0 to 1, so it is not some iffy bogus concept but backed by algorithms and mathematical equations. As my lecturer puts it, you doubt natural selection, you doubt maths.

It's just crazy that people would use 'survival of the fittest' to justify selfish acts and to me, perpetuating uneducated views on this is akin to giving a pat on the back to Hitler for upholding biology. BLEAH. And this is not even a moral arguement (i.e. what is right or what is wrong) because sometimes evil acts does not infringe on the realm of reproductive fitness so it have ZILCH to do with survival of the fittest.

Anyhow my friends, you have been forewarned.

Okok...enough of unhappy stuff...now for the more fun stuff.....nightmares...
How can nightmares be 'fun', you ask. Well, mine can, I have have been dreaming consecutively since my exams started...Every night! In fact, I just had 2 dreams.

The main characters in my dreams, ME! and the occasional DM, Dr Li, Eunice, ohoh and one one occasion, almost the whole of class 4/1 CSS.

General trends 1) I get chased by monsters that look suspiciously similar to Orcs.
2) Toilets seem like a major feature in many of my dreams...I wonder if its trying to tell me something. Incontinence?
3) I mostly get GORGEOUS toilets so luxurious you wouldn't belive it. Imagine walking into one of the NUS cubicles that look normal on the outside but once you open the door of the cubicle, your senses are overwhelmede by the sheer grandiosity of the place. A marble white bathtub built into the ground, a sofa to laze around if you so wish to before you bathe, a built-into-the-ground conveyor belt of soaps, scented oils and other wonderful bathtime products...Ahhh...i wish i were asleep again.
4)I got the opposite end of the spectrum too. A shitty cubicle...literally, and a girl's worst nightmare floating in the toilet bowl...pads...EWWWWWWWW
Oh..and this time, the toilet was a tad porno....so sicko...i wonder which depraved part of me is that...cuz, imagine yourself sitting down in some public cubicle. Then, the height of the toilet paper dispensor should be somewhat around your torso right? Well, imagine that strip around the cubicle to be missing. Yes. Other people can look in on you. And to make things worse, I had no idea where my clothes were...good thing it was the little girl's room.

5)I got an eerie toilet too...This toilet is supposedly to be in the 3rd floor...i.e. my room. The funny thing is that in my room, I had two toilets. One that was luxurious and this other toilet that i never knew i had. So the eerie toilet was decent enough but everything in that toilet was tapped with masking tape to form Xs. It was about that time that I felt really along in the dream and isolated from the people downstairs. Meaning to say, if some supernatural thingie starts to freak me out, I would be miles away from help. Interestingly, this is from the dream which was the second most scary and deserved a late night phonecall to DM in order to calm down.

6) For the second more scary dream, I dreamt I was informed that I got AIDS and had only 3 months more to live. Victoria was in my dream...sadly, She seemed kinda busy for me. But Sangeeta was in my dream....and I told her everything...and we cried. Oh, the state of disbelief of me being afflicting with something so alien was very real...

7) The 4/1 dream. This one, weiqi knows all about it and judging from her response, I shall censor certain parts so as not to spoil your appetite. In this dream, I found myself and xyz in my old house with lots of people and all i knew was that i wanted to run away from the house. Then i saw that it was too late for xyz...he disappeared in front of me to dust and i was kinda horrified. Later, I was with DM in this weird place which was supposed to be NUS...looks nothing like it. There was an atrium. It was night time but there were alot of people walking about becuase as usual, there was a Bazaar going on (esp this sem for science, bazaars seemed to be never-ending). However, this was no ordinary bazaar for it was in a building that was 3 stories high, full of push cart shops...Dm disappeared to buy something for me and later, I could not find him any more. But i tried...if not for the weird surroundings, i think i would be super excited by the range of products on sell. =) Anyway, to cut the story short, I finally found my way out of the maze of shops into a room where i saw, Weitzer, mingli and Peiwen. There I asked him...where is weiqi? Then he said that she had gone back. At that moment, I had a flashback that all of us did not originally belong in this world. We were from somewhere else and had been magically transported and displaced in this world. Then I was kinda distraught at how dispassionately weitzer informed me about weiqi's disappearance. In an outburst, i shouted...how can? I need weiqi...(crap..this sounds so les). Then when i had come to terms with our dire situation, i told weitzer than xyz was gone too and like some annoying prohphet he said, I know...
Then he said, The rest are coming. Then at that moment which i can never fully describe, I felt myself spinning 360 degree for a paranomic view of people filling up the room. It felt like some huge revelation of the truth of our being. It was a meeting of some sorts, a head count to take stock of the remaining ones. Like DM said later during our phonecall, it's like Matrix...he reckonds that i should write it down for a book or something...haha
Anyway, the whole dream felt so philosophical....got me to thinking about alot of things later.

8)This one is embarrassing so i won't elaborate much. It involved Yuanwei and me eating alot.

9) The scariest dream of all....okie, 8) and 9) happened in the same night. After my microbiology paper yesterday i was so pooped that I fell asleep around 4 or 5 pm after chatting with DM and continued sleeping until 2 am. So that was the time that yuanwei dream took place. After that, i messaged DM...turns out he was awaken by my sms and we chatted on the phone again cuz i was bored. Around 3 plus or so, I got tired again and went back to sleep. This time, I was downstairs (first floor) and i was sleeping on my nice new WHITE floor in the living room. In my freaky dream, I dreamt that I was also sleeping on the floor...everything the same. And I noted the clock said that it was 5.30 am...I started to hear movements in the second floor. This is not unusual as my mom tends to wake up very early in the morning to get a start on housework. So, when she camee down the stairs and found me lying on the floor, i told her that i couldn't sleep and so woke up and came downstairs (freaky...this is the truth). I won't go into detail..but I was surrounded by relatives that i had not seen before and was made to SEW for something big that was coming up. I guess that explains the gathering of weird relatives.
When i was finally alone again, I was in the same position, lying down, as i had been at the start of the dream. At that moment, i saw the fan threatening to fall crushing down on me. But i could not move...because I felt a horrible chill, similar to when you know something is watching you, run down my back. It was at that moment that the sofa started to jerk and move back and forth before stopping with a resounding bang behind the other sofa that i was next to...then the imact cause more plaster around the fans to flake off and fall onto my mouth. I shouted for my mom...i was paralysed with fear. Somehow, i knew that there was nowhere i could move far enough to escape the fan falling on me...until my mom was nearby, did i feel safe enough to try because i tot that the thing (ghost?) would not be so daring with a witness. And as i predicted, the fan came crushing down but i just managed to escape in time.......other weird stuff happens but this was the worse of it all...

Dm thinks i'm too stressed....my brain is overactive and he is getting the brunt of it cuz he has to pacify me =( sorry!~

Ohoh and since i'm here, i got another plasma tv downstairs and the football channel so yuanwei should be very pleased =). Anyone wants to come my house watch football? u r welcome =P

Also, the country club near my place has finally opened so who wants to go gym, swim or try playing bowling with me??

Hee...busy times ahead! YEAY...can't wait for the fun to begin!~

Time now is 9.55am, 18th March 2006.

Status: Still maintaining viable bodily functions on coffee but unfortunately CPU is running at less than optimal speed.

Place of residence: Spider lab.

Energy usage as of evening of 17th March till current time: 4 packets of 3 in 1 instant coffee, 1 cup noodles, half packet of cadbury chocolate coated roasted almonds (shared the sin with DM), one hot dog bun, few mouthfuls of 'cai4 fan4' (rice and veg)koped from DM.

CPU was running rather efficiently until 4 a.m. when it decided that it was going to take mandatory recuperating time-off to back up files and what nots that happens during REM.

Secondary CPU (DM) was on standby mode throughout the night except for moments when it displayed feats of brillance by acquiring gorgeous spider photos.

Progress status report for the night: Completed evolution lab report, microbiology lab report, 3rd draft of Materials and Methods, still ploughing through 3rd draft of Introduction, halfway through 1st draft of Results, Discussion still unretrieved from CPU's brain-storming files.

Efficiency rate: High considering 3-4hr of hibernation mode between the time of 4 plus to 7 plus a.m.

Secondary CPU still going strong. Left the lab for soccer game with buds. Later, 1 pm full dress rehearsal for performance at 7pm today.

If you can understand all that then good for you. You can tell that i'm quite bored, hyper and sleep-deprived all at the same time.

Notes: I have concluded that staying over at the spider lab to work has done wonders for my efficiency rate as there is no distracting bed/plasma tv/generally sianess to not do anything. Plus, air-con is on all the time. Lab's got unlimited supply of COFFEE mixes since the prof is a big coffeeholic and so are many of the other grad students. The electric boiler is super efficient...din know that water can be boiled in a few mins until i came to this lab. Got my track pants and jacket...am oh so comfy. Bathed in school in the private toilet that can only be accessible by key (2nd time though...and there is HEATED WATER)! So shiok.

Oh yeah...I have really converted the lab into my 2nd home.

Hi ppl,

I know it's been such a freaking long time since my last entry...CNY...my gosh...that's like eons ago....sniff i miss the term break.

Well anyhow, I've had an uneasy feeling towards this semester from the start...urops, evolution, animal physiology, microbiology and woman's health. The start of the sem was like super slack...good for me to work on my urops....but when hell week came...it was really hell week....2 microbiology lab reports, microbiology test, woman's health test, animal physiology essay, evolution essay, evolution lab report...all back to back. Damn. Don't forget I still have to churn out my UROPS report to show that i have been doing SOMETHING for this past year.

Glad that's past but i stil have animal physiology test plus my report writing for urops to look forward to. Sigh...been spending so much time on urops, i have NOT revised for anything except when tests force me to.

Sorry to everyone who ever tried to ask me out and got a negative reply....Sorry Sorry...will make it up to you guys. Sorry to peiwen for not being able to celebrate your birthday...Sorry to the weiqi gang, flora gang, VC and CV ppl...=(

On a brighter note, A BIG HUG to weiqi, flora, yuanwei, weitzer, xyz, yuanting and DM (=P) for coming to support me during my NUROPS presentation. Really meant alot to me! It was so fun to catch up too...

Then there is a remote control that MAGNETICALLY sticks to the side of the computer!! OMG!~ Freak.

This is one sixth of the YU SHENG (raw fish salad) that we ordered...there were six plates in all....Haha....One of my uncles was telling me that when some of them were Lao-ing (erm...hard to explain but it involves many pairs of chopstick messing the dish up by pulling it as high as possible) Yu Sheng, they were shouting out all their 4d numbers. Did i mention that my relatives are really into mahjong and 4D...and they have incredible luck with 4D and Toto...always strike 1st or 2nd prize. Anyway,..my Aunty Amy was calling out all the numbers bought by the different people who was also Lao-ing and at the end of it she cried out, JIAK (eat in dialect). Then the rest of the ppl all sian diao cuz they so pantang (malay for superstitious). Cuz...jiak means like all their number kena eaten and wun be winning one...Then my uncle who was telling me the story say, " Then I said...Aiyah...this plate i dun wan already. I go make another plate!" Haha!!

Okie ppl....I've finally gotten off my butt and decided to post a update on my sudden disappearance.

Am not happy with my increasing laziness and procrastination. Guilt is devouring me.
Need more focus...need to get serious!! I have very mixed feelings about this...For one thing, I really like rainy days provided i don't have to travel.

this was so unexpected.
Was merrily about my stuff in the 3rd floor when sounds of...NONO..that's too mild...SHRIEKS of LAUGHTER PERMEATED THE AIR AND UP THE STAIRCASE TO MY ROOM...
then my first instinct was to ignore.....hai....cuz my parents were most prob watching a funny show or something...not amused...cuz am in the midst of serious stuff.

UNTIL i was called downstairs by my gasping dad (note...gasping for air due to TOO MUCH laughter).

I came down with this air of adultness....what foolishness were my parents indulging in now..
Then I saw it....and I couldn't help it...

That my mum and dad were still laughing their heads off didn't help. And I snaped, lost all control and started LAUGHING.
