Red Hot n RaRinG...
Hello there to the little people, how's the week been treating you guys?
*smirk...despite my hoity toity demeanor, I am actually a caring princess. OH...i feel so perfect...someone bring me my pedestal and a couple a bowing idiots.*
Hopefully, you'd have actually accomplished something? Or have you been just bumming around and wasting this glorious glorious holidays? Haha...I guess you can tell I'm in one of my manically euphoric moods....no doubt contributed by an unexpected series of (un)fortunate events.
*read between the lines...ah, 'unfortunate'.....that would be my wallet and waistline now..*
Anyway, I'm about halfway through my Japanese language lessons and I'm still LOVING every single minute of that class and who would expect, shukudai (homework)!! So fun!! Can't believe that i'm actually writing and reading hiragana!! That's like a dream come true!!! Haha, though i have my own jap homework to contend with, i'm giving myself extra practice. Hee, I'm gonna write out the pronunciation for all my Jap lyrics!! First prioirty is Inuyasha!! * OhOh did i mention that i have the piano book for Inuyasha and it contains all the theme songs of the entire series so far? Believe you me that the songs are definitely your kiddish affair. If your idea of Jap anime music so far consists of Doraemon, Shin-chan, Pokemon, BeyBlade and whatnot..(no offence...seriously, cuz i adore Shin-chan aka La Bi Xiao Xin) then you're seriously deprived.
Inuyasha has artistes like Hitomi, Every Little Thing, BoA, Akiwa Nanase, V6, Tackey and Tsubasa, and even the great Ayumi Hamasaki singing for it! I like... I have all the possible mp3s from Inuyasha series and even the instrumental character theme songs and background music. Beg me...don't forget to grovel.
BUT...nothing will ever...I repeat, ever make me forget my first love...Rurouni Kenshin. I have like nine CDs from the series...and the songs are just incredible, especially nostalgic are the songs from the last OVA. But though I have the DVD, I lack the cd...argh....and I want it so bad...hint* that is a clue if there is ever any for what i want for my birthday.
Just this Friday, I went to HMV to check out some CD for my sis (MINK- Japanese singer who sang some theme song for a drama serial currently airing in Japan. Apparently, she fell in love with that song whilst on her 3 week stay in Japan. Well...it seems that HMV apparently hasn't heard of this person so I guess I'll have to try Towers or something....maybe eBAy? Help? Anyone?) and as usual, I'd love to check out the Jap section which is currently on the 3rd floor now. And going throught the Jap section means that that I will also inevitable browse through their 'collections' of anime...I dun't know how to really express this but i guess i could call this a sadist fetish? I'd gloat over their pathetic array of mainstream anime offerings and scoff at their exhorbitant prices. Pulease, unless you are loaded, never ever buy anime from HMV just cuz their prices are just so ridiculous. I think part of my amusing comes from the fact the HMV expects people to buy these things when exactly the same stuff can be found like almost everywhere for a more reasonable price.....(if you don't know and want to know....just ask me... ahah i have the low down on the place in the west and central parts of Singapore) and that the ARE probably idiots who actually buy them.
Anyway, what i really what to say about HMV is that I finally saw that CD selling for $79!!!! OMGWTF!~ Shit man...for a CD???????? I can buy a lousy CD player for that amount!~ Sheesh...If you are wondering about my 9 kenshin cds, I bought them when i was Sec 2/3 at Jurong Point or was it Tokyo> for $17 apiece. That was a god sent...Really! Pity, that place is not in operation anymore and the only other shop i know that sold cheap anime cds was another outlet of the same name in Bugis Junction. But both are now gone and sobXz....hmm....maybe that shop near Cityhall might stock them....
By the way, I'm still daydreaming about the absolutely gorgeous $400 kenshin figurine...oh miy gosh...i want it....oh i'm so spoilt but i can't help it...
Talking about spoilt....i think that last week and esoecially this week, i have been absolutely liberal with my moola...
Firstly, i met up with an NUS gal fren to catch a movie after my Jap class (Initial D!!) Although, I have not seen the anime or read the manga, my inuyasha supplier aka leon told me that in the anime, the cars just make you drool. Haha, for someone like me who despite, am a licensed driver, but have yet to go wild behind the wheels yet and am not exactly that hot about the idea, cars are really not my thing. Not like Hua Hua who to me seems to be so updated about cars...no doubt anticipating the day she'd actually own one and not have to beg her dad for the keys. By the way, my dream car is nothing too flashy but just understated elegance. I just love the old Jaguar model....its long slender frame have a touch of old world elegance and richness that i crave. If I were to snag a rich bf though, get me a silver Porche. My dream car since i was 5 and playing with romote control fake ones. I even named that car a Porche!
Anyway....I totally forgot that one a Friday the stupid tickets costed me an insane $9.50...CRAp SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT..... well...at least there's Jay Chou and Edison...
Oh, have i mentioned that another fren and I have been frequenting Ginza Plaza to fuel our manga addiction. It's costs $1 to borrow one book and you can borrow up to 10 books at a time. You can also sign up as a member...their cards are really really nice + other perks such a extra credit to borrow more books!! So far, I'm reading Ranma1/2 and Inuyasha...and since both of us a fast readers, we exchange books with each other and effectively, pay like 50 cents per book.
Ka-ching***
Oh, and while studying in town definitely has its perks like shopping and more shopping during the Great Singapore Sale and me having such ready access to my jap foods, the downside would have to been transport. Already, I bought a bus pass $52.....*flapflap money fly
Anyway here's a list of my purchase within this 2 weeks alone:
a)2 earrings from Far East Plaza,
b)1 white sequin sash belt, 1 black suit top ala interview type, 2 cropped cardigan jackets..the type that ends above the waistline, 4 tops in colours missing from my boring closet, 2 nail polish, one eyebrow pencil, Johnsens facial wash, all from Toa Payoh Central...shopping was fantastic! I went there yesterday with my parents and even got a manicure and pedicure...i think the combine bill for my mum and I was 80 plus....hehheh now my two big toes have 9 shiny stones each. Wasn't too happy about the one of the pedicurists....complain my nails to short....sheesh....can't help it if i'm hygenic right. I think wat contribute to her ire was that i somehow managed to mess up my big toe before the polish dried and so she had to start again....well...accidents do happen...
c) This new mascara from Basic Beauty called wink up. It gave me the lenght that was noticable but natuaral looking enough but not too much volume...hmmm...also, it was so difficult to remove it...they really mean business when they say pespiration proof! Some other toiletries..
d)One chili paddi red sphag with shiny beads embroidered on....i think it makes me look indie...another shiny cropped jacket from Hereen
e)one white sphag from Giodarno....considering getting some yellows and blacks...how about
green?
f)a green wollen thing....i'm not really sure what it is but i like it alot....i'd take some pictures if i can find the camera....by the way, i finally got hold of the JAPAN PHOTOS>........FINALLy.... gonna upload now and watch out for the peter pan hunk. He's my dream bf.....wahahhahaha!!
g) I bought Good Charlotte the latest album not too bad at all!, X & Y by Coldplay (I love it more each time i listen to it. And the best Cd buy of all: AWAKE by L'Arc~en~Ciel!!!!!!!!LOVE THEM LOVE LOVE.....I'm gonna get Glay, T.M Revolution, ELT, Gorillaz, The Tears (former Suede members)...sniff.....so much music....so little time and money..Did i tell you that I was approached to audition as an MTV DJ by the girl at Orchard mrt?? Ego Boost! Oh, and just this week, I was approached by this guy from IModels course he said he think I got what it takes? Hrmmmmmmmmmm.......i hear loads of sniggers...but of cuz i think it's course i don't look local.....sigh......He even asked if i was local.....You know, if i had a ten bucks for every person who ever asked me if i were a)local, b) taiwanese, c) China chinese, d) Hong Konger, e) Vietnamese even!, f) Japanese (that I don't mind..haha), g) Korean....I could buy all those Cds and more that i listed above.
Moral of today's story....I'm broke....have piles of work to be done but have not started though have finally got around to cleaning my room and basically doing the unimportant things first just cuz it's so much more fun.
Star forecast for coming week (from STimes):
Although there are days when you feel like being alone, this week is not the time for that. try to focus on the positive aspects of socialising. If you are single and looking for a suitable candidate, now is a good time.
Oh well, as a rule, Stimes forecasts always sucks but next week i do have a busy time ahead....wanna meet up with my beloved lao gong....more shopping....and catch War of the Worlds....Ohohoh....who wanna go to the Good Charlotte concert???????? Any takers?
**Okie...i better get started on my work....by the way.....enjoy my photos and comments are always a joy =P...unless they are degradatory....if that's the case then f off.*
